God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be So He put His arms around you And whispered 'Come with Me.' With tearful eyes We watched you suffer And saw you fade away Although we loved you dearly We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands at rest God broke our hearts to prove He only takes the best. It's lonesome here without you We miss you more each day Life doesn't seem the same Since you've gone away. When days are sad and lonely And everything goes wrong We seem to hear you whisper 'Cheer up and carry on.' Each time we see your picture You seem to smile and say 'Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping We'll meet again someday.

Today was St Georges Walking Day, where all the Scouts, Guides and other uniformed organisations walk through the centre of Chorley.
Since the Twins & Charlotte where old enough they have walked in this parade and we would stand on the road side, in all weathers, waiting with such pride, for the children to pass with the bands playing.
When our children got to old it was the turn of the nieces and nephews, and we would continue to support their effort.
Last year there was also a parade for those who fell during the Falkland’s campaign and again we turned out to support the effort. This picture was taken whilst we where waiting for the parade to start, just a year ago...

Maxine, its 3 months now, a quarter of a year, but it still feels like yesterday. A New Year is around the corner, oh how you hated the New Year, it always reminded you of getting older. Now you will not get older, your dream of being Peter Pan has come true.

We have so many good memories over the years at this time, watching the kids open their presents a 2AM on Christmas morning, and then trying to get them back to sleep only for you to be more excited than the kids, willing them to get up in the morning You always ensured that everyone got what they wanted and would save for months to do it

Christmas, for you, it was a magical time that will always remain with me, although Christmas will never be the same again. Only you could do Christmas that way.

I will always see you in the night sky; Second Star to the Right and Straight on till Morning...

Christmas From The Heart

I heard your voice in the wind today
and I turned to see your face;
The warmth of the wind caressed me
as I stood silently in place.

I felt your touch in the sun today
as its warmth filled the sky;
I closed my eyes for your embrace
and my spirit soared high.

I saw your eyes in the window pane
as I watched the falling rain;
It seemed as each raindrop fell
it quietly said your name.

I held you close in my heart today
it made me feel complete;
You may have died...but you are not gone
you will always be a part of me.

As long as the sun shines...
the wind blows...
the rain falls...
You will live on inside of me forever
for that is all my heart knows.

I first met you in Catterick when we were neighbours and shared plenty of times to comfort each other when our men were away on exercise. I remember the mad moments with Spook, Leslie and Jessie loved that dog. I will never forget the expession on your face when you came into my kitchen after the scan and told us it was twins. We did laugh while you was in shock but you soon got used to the idea and began to enjoy your pregnancy. We was then posted to Woolwich but have kept in touch all these years even if it was only a Christmas card and a few texts or quick phone calls.

It only seems like yesterday when you came to see us in Harlow and stayed the night, but looking back it was about 8 years ago. How time flies!

We will never forget you and will continue to try and keep in touch with Glyn by sending the usual Christmas card unless he chooses for us not too.

Will love you always

Karen
