Happy Birthday
Claire To all family and friends June 2, 2008

I read about Maxines story in a magazine and felt compelled to write in.
Although I'm only 15, I can relate to Maxine because I have suffered bouts of anorexia from the age of 12 and know the pain you must have endured during Maxine's illness, because I realise it does not only effect the carrier, but also everyone who loves and cares for them also.
You will probably already know this, but your love and support through Maxine's hard times will have kept her going and made her see the light at the end of the tunnel, even at the darkest of times - I know I would have given up a long time ago without the support from my friends and family.
I'm one of the lucky ones as my condition is stable at the moment, but anorexia is so, so powerful, it just completely takes over, and Maxine's long battle proves she was a fighter.
Just remember that your love and support will have meant the world to her,
Lots of love

I have just read the Closer article that features Charlotte.  I obviously don`t know you at all but have been deeply saddened and moved by Maxine`s story.

Thinking of you all, and hoping you are all drawing strength from each other with every day that goes by.  This is a beautiful website and a real tribute to Maxine`s life.  xxx

Louise Remembering Maxine and to the Family May 29, 2008

I met Maxine whilst we were both patients at Cheadle Royal hospital and was shocked to hear the news. I read the article in a magazine and was so pleased to hear your positive attitude Charlotte and I know your Mum would be very proud. My thoughts are with you all and Maxine will live in the hearts of all the peoples lives she touched.

Louise Page Maxine October 22, 2007

I met Maxine a couple of years ago when she was working at the Crispy Cob. She was a great person, thoughtful and caring. I would go in on my dinner break for a milky coffee and a slice of toast. After a week or so, Maxine didn't even need to ask me what I wanted she knew. Our friendship grew, we would have great chats about life and general chit chat. She told me of her illness once we got to know each other better. She would say to me "Louise if I dont eat I'm going to put in hospital again". I would sit and talk to her, tried to help by listening to what she had to say. She loved her family dearly and hated what she was putting them through but she could not help it. She told me of when the illness started and how it affected her life. She would talk of the good times with her husband and children. I felt many different emotions when I saw Maxine it was a real shame for her and wish there was something I could do. The last time I saw Maxine was in Royal Preston Hospital. She was with her daughter who was having a check up in the eye department. I was there with my mum, we sat together chatting, catching up on life and gossip. She told me that she would be back in hospital if she didnt eat and said that she knew she was getting worse. I begged and pleaded with her to try and eat a little more but she said there was nothing that she wanted. Dry cereal and bread was mostly what her diet consisted of. Before I left she gave me her mobile number as the one I had was her old one. You loved a good chat and so did I, thats why we got on so well. You will be sadly missed Maxine, Im so sorry that your life came to an end so suddenly. I never got to say goodbye.

Thank you Maxine for being a wonderful person whom everyone loved dearly

Glynn & Family

Thinking of you all. I know for you it is all still so freash. Other poeple move on quickly, Which is to be expected, but for you Glyn and your children it will be along and slow process. Stick together, love each other, support each other but most importantly let them tears flow, It does help to have a good cry.

Ann & Brian

You areboth constantly in my toughts. I understand the pain you are experienceing. It hurts like no other pain to lose a child. Be strongfor each other.

You had a lovely caring daughter, who was loved and liked by so many. That is a credit to you both.

Daryll nd Tracy

Brother & Sister.

I suppose it is easy to forget just how many people Maxines death has affected.

She was not only your sister she was " The Baby Sis". Thinking of youboth. Sometimes it would be nice to just go back to Southdowns Road in the safe , loving environment we all grew up in, but not have to grew up. Dont you agree.

In my prayers both of you.

Take care ALL.

MARIA
